Welcome to my website! Shoes off, stick your feet up, and I’ll put the kettle on. I’m Rowan Jess, your future employee of the month. I suppose you’d like to hear a little bit about me?

I've recently graduated from Falmouth University with a First Class BA(Hons) degree in Animation & VFX, where I specialised in character design and 2D Animation. During my time there, I honed a variety of skills such as draftsmanship, visual storytelling, and creative teamwork. I’ve developed Industry-standard experience working in small teams to produce short films, learning to be flexible, proactive, and professional in a high-pressure environment. Having fulfilled a number of roles, including directing my own concept trailer, I have gained insight into many areas and disciplines in the animation pipeline.

My passion to tell imaginative and illustrated stories is what drives me to achieve a high standard of work with a unique eye for detail. My artistic journey has roots in Fine Art and Realism, meaning I can draw accurately and implement theoretical knowledge to create visual appeal; I am currently developing my abilities to stylistically communicate energy, emotion, and force.
